The City is taking legal action against the Occupation camp for blocking the highway. Yet the highway which is pedestrian is clearly perfectly adequate to take the traffic. Indeed the only blocking of the highway I have seen is the blocking by police of the entrance into Paternoster Square (above). Presumably this square is now privately owned though it has a permanent police guard. Indeed I have seen more police in the last three weeks around St Paul's than I have seen in my own town for many years.
Indeed the pavements are perfectly adequate for the amount of traffic and compare very favourably to most days to what pedestrians face in the city and beyond.
The City of London is building a case against Occupy London, which apart from being foolish, expensive and controversial, appears to be based on unfounded allegations, many of which have been refuted by the camp.
